Hi. Was checking why my AWS bill was quite higher than expected and found a VPC created and it seems like Nanobox uses it. Is this normal as its $50 approx? I'm using AWS while waiting for you guys to support google cloud. Thanks
Did you create an app in Nanobox? It sounds like an app which was created and then scaled to the 2GiB RAM size Nanobox allows without needing the scaling upgrade.
Hi. Yea, i tried to scale it to see how it worked and downscaled after a couple of minutes. But would that create a VPC?
Hmm... That sounds a bit unusual, if you downscaled after a bit. Amazon generally charges for actual usage...As to a VPC, I'm not sure which type of virtual server AWS creates for your app at each scaling level.
Not sure either, but have two t2.nano created at the nanobox dashboard and both of them belongs to that VPC and none of the other vm's manualy created in AWS
The t2.nano sounds right... If that's not a VPC, then I'm not aware of a scenario where Nanobox would create a VPC in the first place... Can you log into it and do some poking around for me, to see what it's being used for?
I did some poking earlier today, and did not find much, but i tried to delete it with no luck as it had instances assigned to it. When researching instances i have in AWS i only found the nanobox created instances to use the VPC i could not delete
Huh. Interesting. I wonder if one of our engineers might have more thoughts on that. Mind hopping over to Slack for this? You should have gotten an invitation when you registered. All the engineers are there pretty much all the time, so one of them should know more and be able to help you figure it out.
Ok, that i can do. Thanks.
